Mid-Week Update

This post should have come yesterday, but I got stuck at work until around 9:30 last night, so that didn’t happen. Normally I’d have another movie review up by now, but I’ve been pretty focused on other things at the moment. I did see two movies on Netflix over the weekend, Jonathan and I Don’t Feel at Home in This World Anymore, which I may review at some point in the future, but other than those I haven’t had a ton of time for movies or TV.

I’ve been putting the finishing touches on my first Patreon story, “Rogue Agent,” a violent, ¬†dystopian cyberpunk story in the vein of William Gibson’s Sprawl series or Richard Morgan’s Kovacs novels, which I’ll be editing this weekend and preparing for release on May 1st. I hope to post a sample up here soon. Hunter’s Moon: Part 4 will be up on Saturday morning at the usual time, so if you’ve read and enjoyed the other parts you won’t have to wait much longer for the next installment.

I’ve also started outlining a longer project, the first book in a rather expansive series, the concept for which I’ve had fermenting in the back of my mind for some time now, but I don’t know if I’m quite ready to tackle something this big just yet. I don’t have much to share, other than it’s an epic, galaxy-spanning space opera with multiple viewpoint characters, ruthless aliens, colony planets, exploding spaceships, cyborgs, the works! When I was in high school I had my mind blown by Peter F. Hamilton’s Night’s Dawn Trilogy, so I’d like to think this project is something of that scale and scope. I’ve never attempted a first novel this complex or planned an ongoing series before, so this is all new territory for me. I hope to have more on this one as it develops.

Thanks to everyone who’s read my posts and followed my blog. I really appreciate your support! I plan to post more stories in the future, serializing some of the longer ones. My goal with this blog is simply to entertain, so if you like what you’ve seen so far, mission accomplished. More to come…
